Welcome to DebtYa. These Terms of Service govern access to and use of the platform, website, and related services offered by DebtYa. By creating an account, accessing, or using DebtYa, you agree to these Terms.
DebtYa is a software platform that acts as a debt copilot: it helps you organize payoff using information you enter (balances, APR, minimum payments), a strategy you choose (Avalanche or Snowball), and a recommended next payment line. The current product experience is manual-first: you pay your creditors outside DebtYa and confirm with I paid it inside the app.
DebtYa provides tools to:
DebtYa does not move money, does not execute payments to creditors for you, does not promise automatic payments, is not a bank, and does not lend money. Recommendations and projections are estimates and may vary. You remain responsible for verifying balances, APR, minimum payments, and all payments with your creditors and on your statements.
DebtYa is not:
You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity on your account. You should provide reasonably accurate information and keep it up to date.
During the manual-first public beta, core DebtYa tools are offered free ("Free during beta"). If we introduce paid subscriptions in the future, we will show pricing and terms before any charge. Where a paid subscription applies to an account, charges may be processed through a payment processor (for example Stripe) as disclosed at checkout or in your account.
DebtYa uses independent service providers for infrastructure, security, email delivery, analytics, and similar operations. The default DebtYa experience is manual-first and does not require you to connect a bank or import accounts. Optional or legacy features may exist for some accounts or environments; where available they are subject to separate consent, provider terms, technical limits, and regional coverage. We do not guarantee every institution, creditor, or flow will be supported.
DebtYa may display, organize, or help you plan payments; it does not execute payments to creditors for you in the manual-first product path.
You may not use DebtYa to:
DebtYa may change, update, limit, or interrupt features at any time, especially during beta stages, maintenance, security improvements, or provider changes.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DebtYa provides the service "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee the service will be free from errors, interruptions, or specific financial outcomes.
We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms, affect the security of the service, or create legal, operational, or fraud risk.
You may opt in to optional smart email reminders about upcoming payments (timing and suggested amounts) from your account settings. SMS reminders may be offered where supported and will also require your explicit opt-in before we send anything. Message and data rates may apply for SMS. You may opt out of SMS by replying STOP when that flow is supported, and manage email/SMS preferences in your account. Any non-transactional marketing email we send will include an unsubscribe option when legally required. DebtYa does not move money or execute payments to creditors; reminders are informational only.
For legal questions or support, email contact@debtya.com.
DebtYa respects your privacy. This Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use our website and platform.
We may collect:
We use your information to:
The default DebtYa experience is manual-first. If you use optional features that involve external providers, DebtYa may receive information those providers allow us to process according to your authorization, their configuration, and their rules. Coverage, fields returned, and refresh frequency can vary by institution and product.
We do not sell your personal information. We share information with processors and partners strictly as needed to provide the service, including infrastructure and security vendors, email/SMS delivery providers when you opt in to optional reminders (such as smart email reminders), and payment processors when a paid subscription applies. We may also share information to comply with law, prevent fraud, or protect rights and safety.
We apply reasonable technical and organizational security measures. Even so, no system can guarantee absolute security.
You can request help related to your account, billing, or data by emailing contact@debtya.com. You can opt in or out of optional email/SMS reminders in the product; we will update this Policy if flows or providers change materially.
We may update this Policy to reflect service, legal, or operational changes. The version published on this page will be the current one.
During the free manual-first beta, you may request account closure or help removing your data by contacting contact@debtya.com.
If your account has or later obtains a paid subscription, you can cancel that subscription according to the terms shown at purchase. Recurring charges may be processed by a payment processor (for example Stripe). Customer portal links, receipts, and payment-method management may appear when enabled for your account.
You can cancel:
If you cancel, your subscription remains active through the end of the period already paid, unless expressly stated otherwise.
No new charges will be made once cancellation is effective for the next cycle.
After you cancel:
The manual-first beta described on our site does not charge a subscription fee. This refund policy applies when a paid subscription charge has been processed.
Unless applicable law requires otherwise, DebtYa subscription payments are not refundable once processed.
When charges apply, they may be processed through a payment processor (for example Stripe); how a charge appears on your statement follows that processor and your card issuer conventions.
When you cancel, cancellation prevents future renewals but does not automatically refund or prorate the period already billed.
DebtYa may evaluate exceptions case by case, for example:
To request a review, email contact@debtya.com.
DebtYa reserves the right to approve or deny exception requests according to this policy and the information available.
To delete your DebtYa account and data, email contact@debtya.com from the email on your account. We will process your request and delete or anonymize your data as applicable.
Automated self-service deletion may be added later. Until then, email is the supported way to submit an account deletion request.
